Our Story

I’m Phyllis Smith, Founder and Owner of IDTS Mobile Wellness & Screening Services. My passion for helping others began long before I started this business.

My journey into caring for others was deeply inspired by my late son, Melvin, who lived with cerebral palsy and scoliosis of the spine. Being his mother taught me compassion, patience, advocacy, and the importance of treating every person with dignity and respect.

That experience led me into private-duty nursing in the late 1990s, supporting children with disabilities and elderly individuals. Today, I bring that same heart for service to IDTS by making wellness screenings and point-of-care testing more convenient and accessible.

Although Melvin is no longer here physically, his love remains part of the reason I do this work. His life gave me a calling to serve others with compassion, dignity, and genuine care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve access to convenient, reliable, and professional mobile wellness screening and specimen collection services. We bring CLIA-waived point-of-care testing, occupational screening, DOT compliance services, and wellness support directly to homes, workplaces, senior communities, and underserved populations.
